:Man jailed for killing eight year old boy over failed relationship

TAWAU, A man was sentenced to fifteen years jail term after he was found guilty of killing an 8 year old boy over a failed love affair. Magistrate Equsra Mohd. Ali meted out the judgement after the prosecuting site presented their case facts yesterday. Ben Jalad, 22, was arrested on August 14, 2006 at Sibuan island, Semporna.

Ben was found guilty to the offence of killing one Mohd. Bakri Karim, 8, at Ibak village under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code. Habebah said that Ben had broken his relationship with the aunt of the deceased and later threatened to kill all the family members.

The court was told this resulted in the accused taking victim to the site.
