:Rumor of all kiosk closing tommorow not true

TAWAU, Panic stricken motorists franticly tank up their vehicle fuel tank after a rumor was spread citing that no petrol or diesel would be available in the next few days.

Vehicles again line up at all petrol kiosks rushing to fill up since around after the rumor spread like wildfire.

`I really don’t know what happen until cars kept coming to fill up today’, cited a pump attendant at a kiosk today.

It was reported the situation came about after Petroleum Dealer Association Malaysia (PDAM) might imposed limited time in opening kiosks belonging to its members numbering around 3,500 to oppose incentive on sales of petrol and diesel.

It was stated that petrol kiosk operators suffer from the price hike as the incentive of 3 percent allocated to them had not been reviewed causing hardship.

`It is supposed to happen on June 26 as we will open our kiosk from 7.00am to 4.00pm based on PDAM decision’, a kiosk operator stated when met.

A source said that there would be petrol and diesel and the rumor spread is untrue, a short text messaging issued around 6.00pm citing that the rumor was incorrect but it did not prevent vehicles from lining up fearing the worst.
