TAWAU, A planned demonstration by a group of people set to be held at the front of the Al Kauthar mosque was cancelled after it was supposedly opposed the Sabah Action Progressive Party (SAPP) statement over the vote of no confidence toward the country's Prime Minister. The premature termination of the demonstration was supposed to take place around 1.30 pm however brought members of the press and police into the area. It was reported that the demonstration was to ask the Member of Parliament for Tawau who is a member of the party to resign.
As precautionary measure, police patrol the area to ensure that no untoward incidence can take place.
