:Robbers robbed two passengers on a bus and fled

TAWAU, A group of three robbers robbed an old lady and later robbed a young lad on the same bus before making their escape before their crime was detected. Acting district Police Chief Supt. Haji Ramli Ali Mat said that the group boarded the bus bound for the township from Ranggu at around noon time on June 3. `The robbers believed to be in their teens surround the lady in her fifties and one of them pointed a knife on her’, he added.

Ramli said that the victim was ordered to hand over her handbag containing cards of various kind and cash RM140. The robbers then went up to a youth who just got onto the bus and again robbed him by taking his handphone before fleeing from the bus around the vicinity of mile 3 Apas road.

Ramli however said that the robbers could not be the members of a gang called `3 Junction gang’ and investigation is ongoing.
